Wander

As I sit alone in silence

Watching shadows rise and fall

I go searching for a pattern

That might help explain this all

Do you think there is a question

That is better than the rest

Where the answer may allude us

But the asking is the quest?

As I wander

Is there anything at all to find that’s new?

Is there something to find that’s true?

As I wander

Is there anything at all to find that’s new?

Is there something to find that’s true?

I have looked into the faces

Of a thousand endless nights

And have watched the stars go dancing

Far away from city lights

I don’t think there is a power

That can cure us of our pain

But perhaps within us all

There’s some shelter from the rain

As I wander

Is there anything at all to find that’s new?

Is there something to find that’s true?

As I wander

Is there anything at all to find that’s new?

Is there something to find that’s true?

All these questions

And there’s no where I find to be

So I just stay here inside of me

So much beauty all around me

It sometime can make me sing

But the pain and fear and chaos

Why such widespread suffering?

I search through all of the windows

At the open souls I see

Some appear to have a purpose

But they’re just as lost as me

As I wander

Is there anything at all to find that’s new?

Is there something to find that’s true?

As I wander

Is there anything at all to find that’s new?

Is there something to find that’s true?
